Performance Coaching

Performance coaching can help you to understand yourself better, discover hidden strengths and identify areas for improvement, while improving overall job satisfaction.

Performance coaching is about unlocking your potential to learn for yourself, rather than attending training and courses that can be limiting and of little or no stimulation.

As a qualified and experienced coach-mentor I can provide you with that stimulation. Good coach-mentoring can take you into areas of your own untapped resources by getting you to think of your potential, not your performance.

Coaching can help in areas such as:

  • Supporting you with the induction or appointment into a more senior or different role
  • Supporting the effective implementation of organisational change
  • Developing you as a valued and experienced employee
  • Providing you with an independent sounding board to express your thoughts and ideas
  • Supporting the development of your 'people skills'.

What does performance coaching involve?

Performance coaching focuses on improving performance or behaviour, is goal-orientated and is tailored to suit each individual.

Coaching can help you to understand yourself better, discover hidden strengths and identify areas for improvement. One of the most important elements of performance coaching is accountability. As an experienced coach I work with you to help you come up with your own ideas, while encouraging development through supportive yet challenging questioning techniques. This enables you to take responsibility for your own performance and development.

I will meet with you to discuss your requirements and plan a way forward that suit you and your organisational goals.

What will I get out of performance coaching?

Performance coaching can help you to:

  • Recognise and solve your own problems
  • Improve your managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Improve your relationships with colleagues
  • Identify and act on development needs
  • Have greater confidence in your own ability
  • Become more effective and assertive when dealing with people
  • Have greater self-awareness and gain new perspectives
  • Develop greater adaptability to change
  • Improve your work–life balance
  • Reduce your stress levels

How many sessions will I need?

This is flexible and can range from around three to eight sessions. Each session usually lasts for an hour and can take place weekly, fortnightly or monthly (with email support between sessions). All sessions are strictly confidential.

Where will the sessions take place?

If your employer is providing these sessions they are usually held at your place of work. If not, they can be off-site at a venue that suits you. All that is required is a small meeting room where sessions can take place without interruption.

How much will it cost?

This will depend on what we will cover and the number of sessions you require. Please contact me for a no obligation, informal chat so that we can discuss the options open to you.

I can provide independent coach-mentoring sessions anywhere in the UK.

Please email me on liz@lizfreemancoaching.co.uk if you would like to request further details.
